Directly after college, Lula launched her professional career in the non-profit sector. She began her work with national organizations such as The League of Conservation Voters and Students for Education Reform. Shortly after realizing social issues would never change without political power, she dove into the world of politics. She also helps provide strategic and consultative advice such as implementing creative ways to cultivate a strong following online and activating supporters on the ground.

Outside of community organizing and electoral campaigning, Lula's deepest passion is connecting with people through capturing their stories. She believes story telling not only celebrates our humanity but also expands it through compassion.
